We are a Manchester-based marketing agency on a mission to help 100 million young people into the world of work.
We do this in a number of ways - mainly through helping our global client with bespoke strategies to attract diverse talent into their businesses. This can be everything from Diversity and Inclusion research, crafting and managing social strategies or utilising influencer marketing to boost their employer brand or opportunities. Whoever the client, we work to produce captivating campaigns designed to connect employers to youth culture.

The Perks of Working at TapIn
🌟Four day work week
Yes you read that right - we don’t work Fridays.
We follow the 100-80-100 model: 100% pay for 80% of the time, for 100% of your productivity.
Giving our team that extra day back has led to increased productivity, decreased stress and all around happier employees.
🌟Flexible hours
We recognise that not everyone works on the same schedule, so we let our team choose their own.
Our team can work whenever they feel they are most productive, as long as they get in their 8 hours and attend important team meetings.
Not a morning person? Start a bit later. Need to run a few midday errands? Just end a little later.
🌟Completely remote
The only office we have is a virtual one.
Not only do we get to work where we are most comfortable, there’s no need to waste an hour or two every day commuting.
🌟Wellness Days Allowance
Here at TapIn, we are advocates for mental health.
To demonstrate this, every employee is given 4 wellness days each year outside of their annual leave allocation to use as they wish.
No notice is needed - because sometimes you don’t know you need a day off until you wake up.
🌟Exciting Team Days
We may be remote but we do love to get together!
The entire TapIn team gets together for a few days every quarter to catch up, spend time brainstorming and usually doing something fun like bowling, playing darts or trying our hand at the crystal maze.

Authenticity:

First and foremost, we are a Gen Z company. Our team members are young, and our mission is to help young people. Because of this, we like to do things a little differently.
We believe it is important to have the space to think outside the box, and find new ways of doing things. It’s the only way to stand out.
Passion:
Here at TapIn, we love people with a bit of passion.
It doesn’t matter what it’s about - we value our team having parts of their lives, or their jobs, that they believe fully and completely in. Life is lacking without enthusiasm.
Humour:
Professionalism and fun can and should co-exist.
For too long, workplaces have lacked laughter and there has been a taboo on workplace banter. This does nothing but burn out your team, and makes work draining.
At TapIn, we value taking things a bit lighter. We have proven that it is possible to do amazing work, and have fun while doing it.

It’s important to always communicate, and help where you can.
No one really achieves anything brilliant by themselves, and teams function best when everyone is trying to help each other out.
Our Story
Company Founded
While studying an aerospace engineering degree, Milimo Banji found that there was a gap between the students he was with and the companies they wanted to work for.
To bridge this, he started creating YouTube videos guiding students through application processes for internships and placements within some of the top employers.
And then this mission began to grow.
First Employee
And by October, Mils wasn’t alone!
The first official employee for TapIn was hired, Dani Barker. They connected over LinkedIn and she joined as the Marketing Manager on the 7th of October. She was thrown into the deep end, working on clients such as RAF, the University of Manchester and BT in her first few months.
And Dani is still with us today, leading the marketing team as the Marketing Manager.
First client campaign
Soon after Dani joined, TapIn had their first client: The Royal Air Force (RAF).
The RAF came to TapIn as the attendance for their University event was lacking. We put together a social strategy to not only boost their attendance, but also make sure those attending were more diverse and in doing relevant studies.
We engaged with over 87k students online and increased the attendance 4x from their events in the previous year.
Since then, we have worked with the RAF almost every year.
10 Employees
Six months later, we reached another big milestone: we had grown to a team of 10!
At this point TapIn was joined by a creative director, motion and graphic designers, an account manager, an operations manager - just to name a few.
We were expanding, getting more clients, and slowly but surely becoming the TapIn you know and love today.
This is Black Gen Z Research Project
TapIn’s passion project.
The This is Black Gen Z Research Project was an idea that our CEO Mils had in the latter half of 2021 to launch the largest ever research into young Black Talent in the UK. We wanted to find out what their perspectives and experiences were of the world of work, and what employers could do better to recruit and retain them.
And in July 2022, this dream was brought to life, with an extensive report as well as a breakthrough launch event held in Manchester.
And this was just the beginning.
20 Employees!
Three years later and we had grown considerably!
By December 2022, TapIn had reached 20 employees, doubling in the space of six months.
We’re a pretty full team now, with a few new departments, a lot more perspectives and tons of creativity.
And hopefully, this is just the beginning.
